Arden Achieve launching for students

Arden Achieve, Arden University’s 10-Week Programme and Award, is set to take place for students in Block 4 (from February 2023) of our new Blended Learning Calendar.

Following a successful pilot, Arden Achieve is returning packed full of live sessions and on demand content; based around its four pillars of Academic, Professional, Personal, and Digital enrichment.

Offering students the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills to accompany their degree knowledge, Arden Achieve enables students to stand out and be an asset to their organisation and future employers.

Professor Dilshad Sheikh, Dean of the Faculty of Business, said: ‘We’re delighted to offer students the chance to sign up to Arden Achieve, an enhancement programme designed to support personal, academic, professional, and digital development.’

‘Here at Arden University we want to make everyone’s academic journey as smooth as possible and ensure they have all of the appropriate and high quality support in place. This combination of bespoke skills-based workshops and insightful events will hopefully provide additional value beyond the day-to-day learnings which take place as part of students’ courses.’

As part of Arden Achieve there will be a number of:

  • ACADEMIC SESSIONS:
Focusing on specific subjects, and may consist of topic workshops, Q&A segments and software/platform demonstrations.
  • PROFESSIONAL SESSIONS:
Equipping students with the necessary skills to develop careers.
  • PERSONAL (AST) SESSIONS:
Offering guidance to ensure students are fully up to speed in terms of study skills such as referencing, academic writing and research.

In order to complete their Arden Achieve award, students need to attend two sessions from each of the academic, personal, and professional blocks, as well as complete a reflection session from two of the above.

Running parallel to these live sessions, will be a range of on-demand digital resources to offer digital upskilling and online confidence. Whether students want to learn how to design content for social media, get certified in website analytics or become a power-user of Microsoft Excel, amongst other skills, these resources will offer guidance on how to do just that.

On completion of the programme, students will receive an Award that recognises the activities they have undertaken.

Students can access the Arden Achieve programme on iLearn when it goes live. Students will receive an email letting them know more information, as well as when then programme is live.
