Are you considering a career in human resource management, but not sure if you’re ready to start full university degree? The human resource management degree with foundation year at our Berlin campus will give you the opportunity to get your study skills up to speed before entering the first year of your bachelor’s degree. Over four years of study, you’ll discover what drives a team to perform at its best and gain a critical awareness of how people are managed in organisations – all vital skills for today’s HR professionals.
Arden’s foundation year degree courses provide you with the extra support and skills needed to get started in higher education, helping you complete your full degree with confidence. These courses are the ideal pathway if you don’t currently meet our standard entry requirements, or if it’s been a while since you were in formal education. Once your foundation year is completed, you’ll progress the first year of the full degree course.
During the three years following your foundation year, you’ll learn about the core areas of HR management such as managing others and how to operate in multinational employee environments. You’ll also study core business modules covering areas including marketing, business planning, and finance. This means you’ll graduate with workplace skills that will give you wide range of future career options. Studying with Arden University in Berlin means you’ll be able to work in Germany while you study your course, and you’ll also have the opportunity to apply for an 18-month working visa after graduation.
I have enjoyed doing my master’s here because it’s not like a traditional university where you sit in a classroom and a lecturer talks and you write down everything. I like that when we come here there’s actually a discussion and we do a lot of analysis.
Your initial foundation year is made up of 6 modules. Then, to complete your full bachelor’s degree, you’ll study 360 credit hours over three years, which are made up of 16 modules over years 2, 3, and 4, and a dissertation.
Our assessment methods have been designed to allow you to demonstrate your strengths in a number of ways. Throughout your studies, we’ll keep track of your progress through the following:
