As a Masters Degree Apprentice, your work-based learning becomes an integral part to your qualification. As you’re working, remember to build a portfolio of evidence including completed assessments, evaluations from the workplace, presentations, minutes of meetings, business proposals and performance reviews.

Assessments

You’ll be assessed through a variety of methods including:

In addition, you’ll be requested to build a portfolio of evidence demonstrating how your learning has been applied to your workplace. As part of your apprenticeship, you’ll be required to complete an end-point assessment that comprises of a project showcase and professional discussion. You’ll present your work-based project, answer questions, and talk through your portfolio of evidence from the workplace. You’ll be able to demonstrate how your knowledge and understanding of management have been applied in the organisation.

To be eligible for this Degree Apprenticeship at Arden University you must have either:

  • A UK Honours Degree at a minimum of second class (2.2) or equivalent, plus a minimum of two years' work experience.
  • A grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths.

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English:

  • IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (no less than 6.0 in any element).

If you don't have academic qualifications
We are more than happy to consider, and positively encourage, an application from you if you have substantial work experience (typically 5 years senior level experience) and can show us that you have the motivation to study the programme. We'll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course. We may also want references and evidence of relevant experiences. 

You must also provide written evidence confirming support from your employer, alongside evidence of appropriate employment.

Individual employers may set specific selection criteria for their Apprenticeships.

This Senior Leader Masters Degree Apprenticeship has been designed for those who wish to accelerate their career and take the next step up into a management position. If you’re already a manager and looking to formalise your experience with a professional qualification, this MBA apprenticeship will also suit your needs.

You’ll develop skills, knowledge and behaviours that will prepare you to enter a management environment or improve your skills within an area you’re already knowledgeable of.

You’ll be fully equipped with highly current, appropriate and ethically sound knowledge, procedures and processes, ensuring that you’re ready to take that next step.

These courses are an added extra, and you decide whether or how many you complete. Your participation won’t have any effect on your degree or the grades you receive.
