At Arden University, we're giving students the opportunity to understand these changes and develop the skills and confidence to work with AI in their studies and future careers. Our new AI-focused degree programmes have been co-developed with Google Cloud, bringing industry expertise, AI learning and practical experience into your studies. **We’re also giving our current students access to Gemini Enterprise. Today, AI skills and tools are already being used across business, healthcare, psychology, law, creative industries, engineering, and many other fields. We want you to understand how AI is being used in your subject and develop the confidence to apply it appropriately. That means learning how AI can support your work, where it can add value and when your own knowledge, critical thinking and judgement need to lead. The aim isn't simply to give you access to another tool. Students included in the first phase will have access to Google Cloud learning and enterprise AI tools alongside their degree. You can use these tools to explore unfamiliar topics, develop ideas, work with information and data, practise for assessments and investigate different ways of solving a problem. The focus is on application. You’ll learn how AI can support your work while developing the judgement to recognise when an AI-generated answer needs to be checked, challenged or improved. Selected programmes also include Google Cloud learning pathways and eligible Google Skills badges. Your coursework can give you opportunities to produce reports, projects and other practical work that demonstrates how you’ve applied what you’ve learned. ### What does this mean for you? You don't need to use AI for everything. You might use AI to: - **Explore** – Get another explanation when a topic doesn't make sense. - **Create** – Develop ideas, draft content or explore different approaches. - **Analyse** – Work with information and data to find patterns and insights. - **Practise** – Prepare for assessments, presentations or future workplace situations. - **Challenge** – Question AI-generated answers, check sources and spot where something doesn't look right. - **Decide** – Use your own judgement to determine when AI should and shouldn't be part of the solution.
