Schools Outreach Manager - Birmingham

In this post you will be responsible for building and delivering the Schools and College Outreach strategy for Arden University. Working with group functional Heads and the student recruitment team you will ensure the Arden brand presence is built within schools and colleges across the UK. Through this the aim is to generate student interest to Arden University.

You will take ownership for driving brand awareness through this channel, seeking opportunities with schools and colleges to promote our services and promote the Arden offering. You will also work with marketing to agree and deliver the UCAS strategy from promotion to increase UCAS applications to maximising the engagement and conversion of these applications. You will also be responsible for HE events and open days, working closely with marketing to ensure we are promoting the brand through HE and local events which result in enquiries, to the promotion of open days to nurture and convert leads to Arden.

Reporting to the Business Development Director, you will be the driving force for delivery of the Schools and Outreach strategy. Working closely with your central HQ colleagues and recruitment teams, it will be your responsibility to make sure we build our presence in the market and attract suitable students to Arden University.

Our Programme Team Leaders are subject specialists responsible for the management and academic delivery of a suite of qualifications within their discipline across all modes of study and versions of the award including those with partner organisations. They have line and performance management responsibility for the academics teaching on the programmes. The Programme Team Leader will be the key point of contact in working with the British Psychological Society in ensuring that Arden University continue to meet the required conditions of accreditation. In addition they will be expected to contribute to a range of broader academic initiatives within the University.

Personal Profile

You will hold a relevant degree in Psychology (eligible for BPS GBC) and be qualified to PhD level having a strong track record of scholarly activity with a teaching and learning focus. Ideally you will be a Chartered Psychologist. You should have experience of curriculum development and delivery in online and/or blended learning environments and an understanding of current trends and policy within the discipline and the wider regulatory environment. You should also have proven programme and performance management ability in a comparable organisation and experience of successfully managing relationships with PSRBs such as the BPS.

You will be a self-motivator with strong initiative, a positive outlook and ambition to succeed. You must be able to establish and develop productive relationships and clearly communicate ideas and information to all levels of people both within the programme team and across the organisation. You should be able to provide strong team leadership and vision through effective collaboration with others to achieve agreed objectives.

You will be creative problem solver and excellent influencer with excellent analytical skills and a real passion for delivering excellence. You will have high energy, determination and drive, always championing the voice of your colleagues and students.
