Psychology students joining Arden University could be eligible for a new scholarship which will help to reduce their tuition fees while contributing to a very worthy cause.
The Psychology Scholarship will see eligible students secure £950 towards the cost of their studies, with a donation of £50 also made to mental health charity Mind on behalf of each successful applicant.
Applications for the funding are open to UK-based online learning applicants to BSc (Hons) Psychology (BPS) or BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling courses. These courses have been redesigned in 2021 and feature modules including forensic psychology, counselling and cyberpsychology.
There are a total of 600 scholarships available across 2022 - if all places are filled, the total donation to Mind could rise as high as £30,000.
The scholarship is a further demonstration of Arden’s ongoing commitment to widening access to higher education, acting to reduce tuition fees for successful students while also providing further support to the university’s 2021 charity of the year.
A range of activities across the year have helped to raise significant funds for Mind, which provides advice and guidance for those experiencing a mental health problem and campaigns to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health.
Our lecturer Kieran Oakland even appeared as part of their latest advertising campaign following the completion of his 24-hour gaming session which raised over £1,000 for the charity.
