Vice Chancellor’s statement on the EU Referendum

Arden University has a community of students from all over the world, which we believe to be our greatest strength.

We know that many of you may be anxious about the impact of the result, however we don’t expect it to have any immediate impact on students and will continue to provide the same level of support to current and prospective students

Vice Chancellor’s statement on the EU Referendum

Arden University’s Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive, Dr Philip Hallam, commented:

“The formal process of leaving the European Union (EU) will take more than two years from the point that Article 50 is invoked, possibly later this year. Our students can be reassured that we anticipate no changes to their study in the short term. The Student Loans Company (SLC) has issued a statement on Monday confirming that there will be no changes for EU nationals who are studying with a UK university for the remainder of their course. Furthermore that EU nationals who apply to study at a UK university this year will eligible to receive grants and loans for the duration of their studies. Further information is available here:

Arden University values its domestic, European and international students alike and will continue to offer highly supportive, flexible and career orientated study opportunities in the UK and around the world. UK university education will continue to be widely recognised as amongst the best in the world, well beyond the eventual change in the relationship between the UK and the EU. As UK and EU negotiations progress, we will continue to keep our students and potential applicants informed.”
