When can I study?

You will study your Healthcare Management course through online independent learning, in addition to face-to-face seminars and teaching with lecturers in our Study Centres. 

Each module is completed over a six-week period and each week will require a minimum of 33.5 hours of study which comprises of:

  • A minimum of 25.5 hours of online independent learning 
  • Eight hours of timetabled face-to-face teaching each week based in one Study Centre

Our Healthcare Management Degree gives you the chance to explore different areas of healthcare, all of which play crucial roles in the successful operation of services in the industry.

Sessions may include Reading & Note-Taking, iLearn Online Library, Referencing & Plagiarism and Approaching Assignments. This will bring your weekly class time up to 9.5 hours a week for Block 1. The following study blocks will be the usual eight hours classroom time (+online tuition and self-guided study time).

We use a wide variety of assessment methods at Arden, giving you the opportunity to demonstrate your strengths in more ways than one. These could include:

To support your development and ensure that you’re on the right track with your Healthcare Management Degree, you’ll receive tutor feedback for every assessment you submit.

The BA (Hons) Healthcare Management Degree UK has standard entry requirements. To be eligible for this course at Arden University you must have either:

  • Two subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level or equivalent; OR
  • Have completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent

Don’t meet the standard entry requirements, but have work experience?

If you don't fulfil the entry criteria your application may be considered on an individual basis, taking into account any work experience, other qualifications and/or any training you have completed. Please call or email for further information.

Not sure if you’re ready to take on the Management in Healthcare Degree?

We also offer this course as a four year Degree which includes a foundation year. We will consider you for the four year Degree programme if you hold a level 2 qualification (equivalent to 3 GCSE’s) or can demonstrate a years’ work experience.  The extra first year prepares you for university-level study and is ideal if you’re returning to study after a long absence, or want some extra reassurance before embarking on a Degree course.

If your prior learning was not taught in English, we require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (no less than 5.5 in any element).
