During this Arden Psychology & Healthcare Access course you will have the opportunity to learn the core skills and explore key subject areas of the Psychology & Healthcare world. You will get the chance to develop your understanding of the science behind Psychology and explore common psychological illnesses with physical symptoms, look at how health is promoted and how effective this is, and the ethics and values that apply across both disciplines.

To support your development and ensure you are on the right track with your studies we will provide you with tutor feedback on every assessment you submit. If required, your tutor may be able to give you suggestions for improvement and help you understand how to apply your newly acquired skills into real life settings.

Our Access to HE Diploma (Psychology & Healthcare) course at Arden University is designed for students who have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of life or work after school. Applicants will be asked to submit a personal statement explaining what they have done after leaving school and how they have developed skills necessary to study. This could include a job or acting as a parent or carer.

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English, you must have IELTS 6.0 or equivalent (no less than 5.5 in any element).

If you are a UK student, the most common funding of undergraduate degrees is a Tuition Fee Loan from the UK Government. The key information about these loans is:

  • You must be a UK resident
  • You can get a loan to cover the full cost of your tuition fees
  • You only start to pay it back when you are earning over £21,000 a year.
  • Your tuition fees are paid directly to the University by the loan company.

Self-funding - Pay in full or Pay as you go options

You can pay for your course all in one go if you have the funds. There is typically up to 10% off the total price if you pay this way. You can also pay as you go. This means you have no monthly obligations and simply pay for each module when you decide to study it.

Sponsorship

You can continue to study by flexible online Distance Learning, or might want to consider Blended Learning, where you combine your online study with just 2 days per week at one of our UK study centres.

Either of these routes mean you have the time to gain work experience or start your career alongside your learning.
