Entry Requirements

To be eligible for this course you must normally have:

  • A UK honours degree at a minimum of second class (2.2) or equivalent.

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English:

  • IELTS 6.5 or equivalent (no less than 6.0 in any element)

If you don’t have academic qualifications

We are more than happy to consider, and positively encourage, an application from you if have substantial management experience (typically 5 years) and can show us that you have the motivation to study the programme.

We’ll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course. We may also want references and evidence of relevant experiences.

If you have other postgraduate level business awards you may be eligible for entry and/or exemptions. This will be assessed on an individual basis.

How much is my course?


Postgraduate Funding

You can support your study in a variety of ways.

If you are a UK resident, the new Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loans from the UK Government can cover the cost of your postgraduate course fees. The key information about these loans is:

  • You must be a UK resident and aged under 60.
  • You can get a loan of up to £10,000 to cover the cost of your tuition fees
  • You will start to pay it back when your course is complete and you are earning over £21,000 a year.

If you choose to pay for the course yourself you can pay as you go. This means you have no monthly obligations, simply pay for each module when you decide to study it.

According to, the salaries of qualified project managers can be between £40,000 and £80,000 per annum, while, freelance project managers have the potential to earn between £300 and £500 a day, depending on the sector.

If you’re not 100% comfortable with university level study choosing 4 year degree would be a smart choice. The first year is designed to give you the basics needed to successfully complete the rest of the degree as it focuses on essential study skills. You will build your confidence and become a capable, well equipped student who is able to complete the full degree.

The four year degree is perfect for you if:

  • It’s been a while since you studied
  • You don’t feel you did well in previous academic study
  • You want to improve your time management skills
