Marketing is an essential part of a business, not just in attracting customers but in feeding intelligence to the management team to support effective decision making and planning. To be eligible for Arden’s BA Hons business and marketing degree, you must have either:

  • Two subjects at GCE A-Level or equivalent, plus passes at grade C or above in three subjects at GCSE level or equivalent; OR
  • Completed a recognised Access Programme or equivalent

For students whose prior learning was not taught in English

  • IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 80; or equivalent
  • Alternatively, a letter to show that the Medium of Instruction was in English is accepted
  • We also offer an internal English test for applicants who are unable to provide an English Proficiency letter. More information on this can be found here

If you don’t fulfil the entry criteria your application may be considered on an individual basis, taking in to account any work experience, other qualifications and/or any training you have completed. Please call or email for further information.

We’ll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course through Distance Learning. We’ll also ask you for references and evidence of relevant work experience.

Funding

Undergraduate courses

You can support your study in a variety of ways.

If you are a UK student, the most common funding of undergraduate degrees is a Tuition Fee Loan from the UK Government. The key information about these loans is:

  • You must be a UK resident
  • You can get a loan to cover the full cost of your tuition fees
  • You only start to pay it back when you are earning over £25,725 a year.
  • Your tuition fees are paid directly to the University by the loan company.

How does it work?

Once you enrol with Arden, you will receive access to both Salesforce and Cisco’s online, courses through your learning platform, iLearn. Here, you’ll be able to pick and choose which courses you’d like to study, at whatever pace suits you.

The hours required to complete a Salesforce course ranges from 35 minutes to 21 hours, while the majority of Cisco courses take between 30 and 70 hours.

These courses are an added extra – and it’s entirely up to you whether you complete one, 10 or none at all! Your participation won’t have any effect on your degree or the grades you receive.

Fees

The Salesforce Trailhead and Cisco courses are completely free to study, but there is a fee of £150-£200 per badge for LinkedIn badge certifications from Cisco.
