About the school
The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management provides challenging but exciting and unique experiential learning approaches for your educational journey. Our student-centred programmes are co-cocreated in collaboration with a range of global partner stakeholders including accreditation bodies, industry employers, practitioners, vibrant alumni and students. You’ll have the opportunity to gain the requisite practical digital, green and social skills futureproof your employment and strive in the digital economy.
Our Foundation and Undergraduate level BSc (Hons) degree programmes offer inclusive specialist focus on the invaluable global hospitality and tourism industry. We are approaching the following Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRB) for programme accreditation: The Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the Institute of Hospitality (IoH), the Institute of Travel and Tourism (ITT, University recognition already attained) and the Tourism Management Institute (TMI). The programmes are co-created, curated and managed by our select team of highly competent and industry experienced academic lecturers who are committed to place active and immersive learning experience at the centre the centre of your education. Studying with us means you’ll be at the crest of the latest digital technology, sustainability and social developments. You will develop the requisite practical hospitality and tourism leadership and management skills to enable you to futureproof your employment and thrive in a digital and sustainable service economy.

Dr Nick Wylie, ICIPD, SFHEA

Dr. Nick Wylie is currently an Associate Dean in the Faculty of Business. He is doubling as the Interim Head of School for the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. He has ICIPD and SFHEA professional membership. Dr Wylie has 20 years’ experience in UK Higher Education. He has previously served as Head of School of Marketing and Management at Coventry University. He holds a PhD in PhD in Human Resource Management, Warwick Business School and a MA degree in Human Resources Management, University of Leeds.
