Graduation room full of students

Highlighting the continued success and growth of its Berlin Study centre, Arden University recently hosted its first-ever graduation ceremony in the German Capital.

Taking place in the heart of the vibrant Kreuzberg district at the iconic Spreespeicher, the landmark celebration was attended by more than 70 graduates, alongside their families, friends, and distinguished guests.

‘Congratulations on your fantastic achievement,’ said Dr. Tobias Kliem, Arden University's Head of the Berlin Study centre.

‘All of us at Arden Berlin are extremely proud of what you have managed to do, and I am sure your friends and families agree. Many of you have travelled across continents, far away from your families and friends, to start a new life in Germany. You have mastered not only a complicated degree but also lockdowns, social isolation, culture shock, cold temperatures, homesickness, and many other things. We wish you all the best for your fantastic careers going forward.’

For each graduate, the day marked a significant milestone in their Arden journey, and their individual moments of celebration as they crossed the stage were a testament to the challenges they’ve had to overcome in getting there.

Those who were unable to attend in person were also honoured. The event was livestreamed to an international audience and images of a number of graduates who opted to attend "virtually" were shown on the big screen in the auditorium.

‘Congratulations to every single one of our new Arden graduates,’ said Victoria O’Donnell, Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic) at Arden University.

‘I’d also like to congratulate the family members and friends who have come along to celebrate with you. They’ve shared your journey and they should share in your celebration too.'

'Our first graduation ceremony in Berlin marks an important milestone and shows how our student community is growing here. Our Berlin students are truly extraordinary.’

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Arden University I would like to congratulate all our graduates on their success,’ said Professor Ann Tate CBE, Chair of Board of Directors, who reflected on the tremendous growth of the centre in her address.

‘A graduation ceremony is a rite of passage which marks a significant milestone in your life. It celebrates the hard work and dedication you have invested in your programme of study and allows you to feel great pride in your achievements. I hope that you will enjoy your day and remember it for many years to come.’

Congratulations to all our graduates.
