Human Resource Management is vital to the operations of any business or organisation worldwide. Studying towards an undergraduate degree qualification in business and HR is a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career in this industry. Our foundation programmes combined with an undergraduate degree provide you with the opportunity to really focus on your study skills, before developing skills in business and human resource management, with a CMI accredited degree.
Are you interested in people management and how to decrease staff turnover and increase productivity? This programme is designed to develop students with strong business skills that can be applied globally to a range of sectors, before going on to specialise in HR strategy, management methods, and employment law.
Completing a foundation level before undergraduate level study gives you the opportunity to develop the core academic skills you need to successfully complete a degree. You’ll increase your confidence in your research, literacy, and numeracy, and then gain a specific grounding in business and HR with modules exploring the structure of organisations and how businesses utilise technology. With this foundation, you’ll then be able to springboard straight into an undergraduate degree.
You’ll begin with fundamental academic skills, and gradually build on your knowledge to gain core business skills alongside human resource knowledge and experience. As you progress you will cover more advanced topics such as strategic issues in human resource management, managing others, and contemporary management issues.
As you near the end of your degree with Arden University you will also gain a clearer idea of your career path and what sector of business and human resource management most appeals to you.
