We are the university that comes to you
Embarking on your study journey is the start of an exciting new phase of your career. Our tried and tested apprenticeship delivery model supports flexible learning, for the same reasons it is suited to our global diverse student community. It breaks down unnecessary barriers to learning and brings the experience or working towards a degree apprenticeship in line with how you are expected to learn in today’s modern world.
For you as an apprentice this means flexibility, reduced travel costs, convenience, and an inclusive approach to learning. We realise it is often difficult to take time out of the workplace to undertake activities face-to-face that can just as easily be undertaken remotely, in the convenience of your workplace or at home. Our digital-first model ensures you are able to fit your studies and learning around your work and personal commitments.

Our delivery model:
Our apprenticeship delivery model consists of continuous learning throughout the year, separated into 12-week blocks before arriving at Gateway and End Point Assessment, and lastly, our celebratory face-to-face graduation events.
Each quarter, our blended delivery model consists of:
- Flexible self-guided online learning
- Scheduled virtual teaching sessions
- Regular virtual 1-2-1 Coaching
- Quarterly virtual progress review
Your dedicated 1-2-1 coach
You will have a dedicated coach throughout your apprenticeship, with scheduled 1-hour coaching sessions taking place every 4 weeks. The coach will also have a kick-start meeting with you and your line manager at the beginning of the programme, followed by a progress review every 12 weeks to provide feedback on timely progress. The coach is there to bridge the gap between the degree and the workplace, provide knowledge about apprentice degree learning, and help you find development opportunities in your role that add value to your organisation. That means your coach supports you in turning workplace experiences into learning opportunities and, conversely, learning experiences into business value.
iLearn supplementary resources
All Arden students have access to a full range of supplementary resources through iLearn, including an online library with access to thousands of e-books and journals, a dedicated academic study skills team available for bookable study skills sessions, study skills resources, professional skills diagnostics and learning plans, and our health and well-being portal.
Arden’s library collection is fully online and consists of over 500,000 e-book titles, including core textbooks for essential reading, specialist titles to support wider reading and a wide range of professional development resources. We have recently invested in our library services further by partnering with BibliU.
You will have access to all of the reading you need to complete your course, including your own individual copies of every book on the BibliU platform which can be accessed online and offline through PC, laptop and mobile apps for IOS & Android. The platform includes tools for highlighting and annotations, a referencing tool, and customisable fonts and backgrounds for a personalised experience. Arden also gives access to over 35,000 academic journals and a range of other resources such as podcasts and videos.
Academic skills tutor provision
All our students can benefit from the support of our Academic Skills tutors. Our tutors run regular academic skills workshops and are available to meet on a one-to-one basis to provide advice on academic writing, structuring coursework and assignments, using library resources and carrying out research.
Study skills modules
Throughout your studies, you will have access to a range of study skills modules.
Your health and well-being
Our apprentices have access to a dedicated Wellbeing Portal on iLearn and free membership to Togetherall.
The Wellbeing Portal is a platform where resources, guides and signposting to external support organisations can be shared. There are a number of useful hints and tips on subjects such as healthy eating and positive psychology, as well as pointers to more specialist services for SEN students or mental health guidance.
Togetherall is an online platform focusing on peer-to-peer well-being support. The service is anonymous so you can share your feelings, thoughts and worries in either text or creative format and receive support from fellow students who have felt or experienced the same. There are also a number of online resources, guides and courses that you can undertake on subjects such as stress management, sleeping and dealing with pressure. Through Togetherall, we also offer all our students Live Therapy. This service provides access to book online or telephone counselling sessions with qualified counsellors and therapists at a time that is convenient to you. You can receive up to 6 free sessions, and more can be allocated if a clinical need is identified.
Inclusion Services (Disability)
All apprentices have access to our Inclusion Team who provide guidance and support on specialist areas such as additional learning needs, mental health and wellbeing, financial support, and welfare.
There is a plethora of ways we can support learners including using assistive technology, reasonable adjustments, referrals, and signposting to services outside of our main network.
One successful completion of your Arden University apprenticeship you will be invited to a celebratory graduation event, so you can celebrate your success alongside your peers, family and friends.
