The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship is ideal for developing managers or those transitioning into their first management role within their organisations. Your study within the Chartered Manager programme will include work-based assessments. Through career relevant written assignments, decision simulations and case studies and a workplace project, you will have the unique opportunity to apply the skills you have learned from the programme directly to your practice, giving you transferable skills for your current and future career.
You will access your modules through our virtual classroom, ilearn and complete all the module lessons. Throughout each study block you will attend your scheduled teaching and learning sessions during working hours, attend your 1-2-1 coaching sessions and undertake your workplace assignment and coach led activities. Your coach will guide you to ensure you are effectively applying and evidencing your new knowledge, whilst developing and demonstrating the skills and behaviours considered essential for success in your role.

The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship is delivered over 36 months plus a further 3 months for the completion of the End Point Assessment. During this time, you will attend university virtually to undertake both self-guided and scheduled learning across 15 modules. You will study and complete each module within a 12-week block.
You will also attend regular virtual 1-2-1 coaching sessions with a dedicated Arden University coach throughout your programme. Your coach will support you to continually apply your learning into the workplace, consolidate a portfolio of evidence to showcase your workplace project required for the end-point assessment.

The Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship provides learners with not only just a degree, but the NHS Leadership Academy Mary Seacole Award and full Chartered Manager accreditation and recognition upon completion of their apprenticeship. As an Arden student, you’ll have free CMI Membership throughout your studies, giving you access to a range of additional resources including a mentoring service and invitations to networking events both online and offline.
Upon completion of this CMI-accredited course, you will be awarded CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership Practice and gain CMI Foundation Chartered Manager Status. *Upon completion of your course, the CMI award and level of chartered status awarded will depend on your level and length of study, whether you entered your course with Recognition for Prior Learning (RPL) or if any compensation is applied on your modules throughout the duration of study. This course is endorsed by the Institute of Health & Social Care Management (IHSCM), whose aim is to create a supportive professional body that is relevant in its activities and modern in its approach and who holds sector leaders in the NHS, social care, third sector and private healthcare amongst its members. The IHSCM works with Arden University to contribute to curriculum development and delivery.
