The Level 6 Supply Chain Leadership Professional Degree Apprenticeship at Arden University provides you with the real-world knowledge, skills and behaviours you need to progress your career in supply chain and logistics. The programme has been created with in-depth consultation with the leading employers in the sector to ensure you graduate with the up-to-date, practical abilities that employers need now and in the future.

Studying your degree apprenticeship in supply chain and logistics with us means you’ll be taught and supported by lecturers with extensive professional experience. The team behind this course have also been instrumental in commercial and policy formation of supply chains with European Commission and the UK Government. Because of our extensive industry links, including with member organisations of the UK’s NOVUS Trust network, we’re able to present you with real business problems from a variety of organisations during your apprenticeship. This will allow you to develop a thorough and in-depth understanding of the industry and the real-world challenges you’ll face in your career. Importantly, you’ll find that the course takes a systematic view to supply chain and logistics, with each module building on the knowledge gained in the previous one, with interconnected content that helps you accumulate new skills in a logical sequence. 

The course is accredited by two of the industry’s leading professional bodies, the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS), giving you Chartered Membership status upon completion. This double accreditation gives you a qualification that is a powerful addition to your CV, giving you an almost limitless choice of employment and career progression possibilities.

Throughout your apprenticeship you’ll work with a coach who will help you find opportunities within your job role to implement your new knowledge, skills and behaviours. Your coach will  work directly with you and your line manager to guide every step of the way with regular quarterly meetings throughout your programme.

How do we assess you?

Assessments

Unlike more traditional degree apprenticeship courses, you won't be sitting any exams on this programme. Assessments on our Level 6 Supply Chain Leadership Professional Degree Apprenticeship have been designed to help you apply your learning to your workplace and other real-world scenarios from different sectors. This means you'll have the opportunity to align your studies and module assignment to how you'll support business prosperity by adding value to your customers and end-to-end supply chain.

Practice-driven

Your course assessments will be practice-driven, focusing on your experience as an industry practitioner while encouraging peer-to-peer sharing and idea creation. This modern approach will encourage you to apply your knowledge to organisational challenges systematically and with an in-depth awareness of what is at stake. 

Final Project

Your apprenticeship concludes with an independent study assessment which forms your Final Project module. Here you’ll have the opportunity to work on a live topic provided by your employer – presenting your findings and solutions internally. This will give you highly advantageous internal exposure as you’ll be able to demonstrate your skills and knowledge to internal stakeholders before you complete your apprenticeship.

Study options

This apprenticeship course is run primarily online, with a quarterly face-to-face full day masterclass. Arden provides an ideal combination of online learning and scheduled face-to-face sessions, either at your workplace or at one of our study centres, arranged by your employer.

Delivery Mode 

The Level 6 Supply Chain Leadership Professional Degree Apprenticeship is delivered in 12-week blocks continuously throughout the year.

Each quarter, our blended delivery model consists of:

  • Flexible self-guided online learning

Entry requirements

At Arden University we consider applications on a case by case basis. If you have significant work experience, have qualifications you have gained elsewhere, or a degree or qualification that isn't a clear pathway to this degree - we are more than happy to discuss your application.

What do you need to study with us? 

Our aim is to make learning as accessible as possible by ensuring that you can join us, wherever you are.

That's why we keep our requirements simple. All you need is a laptop or computer (we recommend one running the latest version of Windows), and a good stable internet connection. With this one tool, you'll be able to access information, advice, support, learning materials and our online library, as well as create assignments, keep notes, and collaborate with other students effectively. 

We’ll also support you with getting access to the design resources you need, wherever you study from, including assistance with obtaining any design software you need to successfully complete the course.

Eligibility 

Learners enrolling on this degree apprenticeship must meet the following criteria:

  • Be in employment in a job with responsibilities aligned with the apprenticeship standard
  • Have evidence of funding eligibility from their employer
  • Have two subjects at GCE A-level or equivalent, plus three GCSEs at grade A*-C /9-4; OR a completed recognised Access Programme or equivalent
  • Have proficiency in the English language if any prior learning has not previously been taught in English (IELTS6.0 / TOEFL iBT 80 or equivalent) 
  • Be a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years prior to starting the apprenticeship

Level 2 English and Maths requirements

It is a condition of apprenticeship funding, at any level, that all applicants are able to evidence GCSE English and Maths passes at grade A*- C/9-4 or commit to completing Functional Skills Level 2, in addition to the programme. If required, this is provided at no additional cost.
