Course details and modules

Our project management degree will provide you with the knowledge and confidence required to execute large scale global projects. You’ll become a forward-thinking project manager who understands the importance of data metrics in project analysis and future planning. Each of our postgraduate level modules are informed by professional and academic expertise, helping you to become better equipped to lead and manage high-level projects.

Project management is a valuable role, helping daily operations run more smoothly. Let’s look at some high profile planning blunders that could have been avoided with better project management.

Five failures in Project Management (and what we can learn from them)
  • Management of traditional projects
  • Project analytics
  • Agile methodologies in the digital business environment
  • Project management tools and techniques
  • Developing people, leadership, and capabilities.
  • Managing cloud-based business solutions
  • Acquisition, conversion & retention strategies
  • Managing customer and user experience
  • Analysing big data
  • Digital business transformation project

*The order and availability of the optional modules within each level may vary depending on intake and subject to demand.

How do we assess you?

The assessment strategy centres on a strong alignment with real world project management issues and embraces a range of group and individual based assessment types including:

  • Reflective analyses
  • Portfolio development
  • Work products
  • Narrated presentations
  • Case study reports
  • Risk assessments
  • Proposals for agile implementation
  • Digital business transformation project (as above)

Students are expected to apply knowledge and theory explored in the modules and produce assessments that simultaneously focus on real business situations and demonstrate the high levels of critical and diagnostic thinking required to meet the standards of a Level 7 business qualification.

The programme culminates in the submission of the independent study assessment (Business Transformation Project) that builds upon content examined in the other modules and requires students to develop a digital transformation project plan.
