Learn more about what you need to start studying
At Arden, we’re proud that our students come from such a variety of backgrounds and bring their unique experiences to our community. That’s why many of our courses have flexible entry requirements, including suitable/relevant work experience. We also offer a number of foundation year options if it’s been a while since you studied or need extra preparation before starting your full degree.
Read more below to find out what you’ll need to start your journey with Arden University.
What are the academic entry requirements for my course?
The easiest way to find out the specific entry requirements for the course you’re interested in is to check the entry requirements section on the relevant course page.
On the course page you’ll also find helpful information about where the course is available, tuition fees, module content, as well as details about the different study options we have available, professional accreditations, and more.
English language requirements
All degree courses at Arden University, whether face-to-face or online, are taught in English. If English is not your first language you’ll need to submit evidence that your proficiency in the English language meets the required level for your course, such as IELTS at the appropriate grade.
You can also complete an English language test with us directly if you wish. Our test uses the same grading system as the IELTS, and you’ll typically receive your results in just a couple of days. You can find out more by speaking to a member of our student recruitment team.
What supporting documents will I need?
To support your application, you’ll be asked to provide us with the following documents:
- Your completed online application
- Relevant academic transcripts from your previous studies
- An internationally recognised passport picture
- A scanned copy of your national ID or passport information page
- A scanned copy of your latest degree, diploma, or certificate of enrolment with an approximate graduation date
- Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English
- Two reference letters (professional or academic)
We may request further information beyond the national ID in some cases.
We also encourage applications from individuals who don’t meet our academic requirements but can evidence relevant work experience. In this case, we would ask you to provide professional references or other evidence of your work experience to date.
Module exemptions on your course
If you’ve already achieved recognised academic credits from another institution, we may be able to consider these for APCL (Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning).
