The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is a powerful global presence within the accountancy profession, inspiring its members and students towards greater success and prosperity.

When a higher education degree course is accredited by the ACCA, that course has been assessed by the ACCA’s professional qualifications approvals team, and exemptions from future ACCA exams are awarded accordingly.

At Arden, our accounting courses offer ACCA exemptions. This means that students who go on to study ACCA after graduation will start their studies at the appropriate level, studying fewer ACCA papers than the standard 14 that make up the ACCA qualification.

Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)

The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is one of the most globally reputable organisations in professional accountancy. The institute works to provide continued professional development services, fund academic research, develop thought leadership, and monitor professional standards in the accountancy sector.

It also maintains a code of ethics for members and works with external tuition providers and assessment services to provide the best study and examination experiences possible for accounting students. CIMA currently has a network of more than 696,000 members, students, and professionals in management and public accounting.

Our Accounting courses offer exemptions from CIMA, meaning you will have to complete fewer than the 12 papers that make up the qualification.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW)

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) is a world-leading professional membership organisation that promotes, develops, and supports chartered accountants and students around the world. At the end of 2020, it had over 189,000 members and students in 147 countries.

Our BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance course has nine exemptions from ICAEW, which means you’ll only need to complete six of the 15 exams on the qualification.

Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM)

Many of our courses are accredited by the Institute of leadership and Management (ILM). On these courses you'll graduate with an ILM award alongside your degree.

The ILM is a professional membership body for leaders and managers, with a mission of inspiring great leadership through qualifications, training, and cutting-edge research. The institute is a globally recognised mark of quality for its members and provides valuable insights through its vast industry links and publications.

As an Arden student, you’ll have free membership to the ILM throughout your studies, giving you access to over a thousand comprehensive learning resources, including webinars, videos, leadership assessment tools, a dedicated e-learning tool, careers advice, and networking opportunities.

Chartered Management Institute (CMI)

Many of our courses are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). On these courses you'll graduate with an ILM award alongside your degree.

The Chartered Management Institute (CMI) promotes excellence in UK management and leadership. The institute aims to boost career development across the management sector and connect you with like-minded professionals across diverse sectors.

The CMI is the only organisation in the UK that can award Chartered Manager status – the gold standard in management. They are also active in business policy-making across the globe and ensure that their more than 140,000 members are represented in policy decision-making.

You will have free CMI Membership throughout your studies, giving you access to a range of exclusive resources, mentoring services, and networking events.

Upon completion of one of Arden University’s CMI-accredited courses, you will be automatically awarded CMI Foundation Chartered Manager (fCMgr) status. This recognises you have the skills needed to be an effective manager, helping you stand out from the competition and start your management career journey - with a clear pathway to full Chartered Manager status.

Advance HE

Our PG Cert in Digital Education in Practice is aligned with the UK Professional Standards Framework (PSF), a comprehensive set of professional standards and guidelines for everyone involved in teaching and supporting learning in higher education. The PSF is the gold standard for all higher education teaching in the UK, ensuring your learning meets the highest industry standards.

Advance HE is a member-led, sector-owned charity that works with higher education institutions in the UK and across the world to improve higher education for staff, students, and society. One of the most important ways in which it does this is through awarding Fellowships. Advance HE award four different categories of Fellowship, which demonstrate a personal and institutional commitment to professionalism in learning and teaching in higher education. On successful completion of our Advance HE accredited course Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Education in Practice, students will be able to demonstrate that they meet the requirements of one of the four Descriptors of the UK Professional Standards Framework (UKPSF) and are eligible for Fellowship.

Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA)

Validation of academic courses in public health by the Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA), an independent and international non-profit organisation, ensures that curriculum and syllabus content adheres to European standards for contemporary courses, and aligns with the basic structure and core content required from programmes in the field.

The APHEA represents the five leading associations of public health in the European Region. It is committed to assuring and improving the quality of educational activities and training throughout the European Region and internationally. Validation by APHEA means that your qualification is recognised across the public health sector, and provides you with increased employment opportunities both at home and internationally.

Many of Arden's Psychology degrees are accredited by the British Psychological Society, which gives you eligibility for Graduate Membership for Chartered Membership, a requirement if you want to study various postgraduate courses and to become a fully Chartered Psychologist.

You’ll have free membership of the BPS as soon as you enrol with us, which opens up a number of fantastic opportunities and professional resources for you.
