Dr Leanne Rowlands

Associate Professor Leanne Rowlands is our Head of Department for Undergraduate Psychology (Blended Learning). Leanne is a Chartered Psychologist with a teaching and research background, a senior fellow with AdvanceHE, and an Associate Teaching Fellow with the BPS. Leanne has worked within higher education for over 8 years and has a focus on teaching and learning, including curriculum design, programme enhancement, and improvement of teaching practice. Leanne’s main research interests are in emotion, the interface of cognition and emotion, and applied neuropsychology. Leanne has been involved with neurorehabilitation policy work in Wales, together with the UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum. She is passionate about inclusion and neurodiversity.

Dr Amy Hogan

Dr Amy Hogan is Head of Department for Distance Learning and has 20 years' international experience overseeing the development, delivery, and enhancement of distance and blended learning programmes. She leads the international partnership provision in psychology across multiple institutions in the UAE, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.  As a Chartered Psychologist and accredited executive coach, Amy is passionate about innovative digital pedagogies, and is currently a GUS Institute fellow researching virtual reality and immersive learning.  Her research interests include usability, user experience, interface design, new media psychology, digital learning & gamification.
