Frequently Asked Questions

What if I choose not to participate in the online event?
You do not have to attend the online event if you do not want to. It’s Arden University’s way of recognising our graduates who have not been able to attend a traditional ceremony in 2020.

If my name and photo are published within the online celebration will I still be invited to attend a traditional ceremony?
Yes of course you will still be invited to attend a traditional ceremony.

When will the online celebration be available?
The online celebration will be available to view on the 5th December at 10:00 am GMT.

Will I have to watch the online celebration on the date it goes live?
No, you do not have to watch the celebration on the date it’s made available. It will be available to watch via our graduation webpage at a convenient time for you.

Will my friends and family be able to view the online celebration?
You will be able to share the link with your friends and family.

When will I receive my certificate and transcript?
Your certificate and transcript will be produced and sent out to you within four weeks of the awards board. We will email you to confirm your address attaching a soft copy of your award.

How will my name appear on my certificate and transcript?
The name you gave us when registering for your programme is what will be printed on your certificate and transcript, unless you have since provided us with evidence of a name change.
Your given name will appear first, followed by your family name. This is standard practice in the UK.

Am I able to access/view my certificate online?
Unfortunately, this service is not yet available. However, we will send you an electronic copy of your certificate and transcript following the awards board.

Do I have to attend a traditional ceremony?
You do not have to attend the traditional ceremony if you don’t want to. This is entirely your choice – we will invite you to the next traditional ceremony and you decide whether to take this opportunity or not.

Do I need to register/sign up to attend the 2021 graduation ceremonies?
Not at the moment, you will be contacted via email inviting you to register for our traditional ceremony once the date has been confirmed.

Where will the ceremony be held?
We haven’t yet confirmed the location or venue for 2021 ceremonies.

What if I have outstanding debts with the University?
You are not eligible to graduate or to be included within the online celebration if you have outstanding debt. It is Arden University’s policy to withhold your certificate and transcript until the debt has been paid.
