As a Student visa holder there will be certain responsibilities that you will have to enable you to retain our visa during study. Similarly, as a Student Sponsor licence holder, Arden University will also have responsibilities which we have to meet. By working together and understanding these responsibilities, we the University and you the student can ensure that your visa status is fully protected during the course of your student journey.
This guide will define your responsibilities and the University’s and will describe how we will meet these in practice;

Living costs – ‘No recourse to public funds.’ | To advise students that they are unable to claim public funds | To understand that this funding is not available to international students |
Reporting duties | As a sponsor licence holder, Arden University is required to inform the UKVI of a student's change of circumstances, such as: withdrawal of studies, change of study location, addition of a placement year | To understand the circumstances in which we may need to report and the effect that this would have on your visa Student guidance online https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/student-advice/visas-and-immigration/protecting-your-student-status/ |
Change of details | The University do not need to report all changes in student details, however the Home Office can at anytime ask for up to date details of each sponsored student. | You should report any change in your personal details to the University by emailing immigration@arden.ac.uk. Changes could include: new residential address, new phone number, etc. |
Leave the UK prior to the end of your visa expiry date | The University to advise students that leaving before the end of your course, may result in your visa being curtailed (cut short) |
