Arden University is pleased to announce a new franchise partnership with American Hotel Academy (AHA), Romania’s first international hospitality school. Based in Brașov, AHA will now deliver Arden’s career-focused UK degrees in hospitality and business, offering students the chance to study for a British qualification without leaving their home country.
The partnership brings together two forward-thinking institutions that share a common goal: to give students the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed in the global job market.
Founded in 2007, American Hotel Academy has built a strong reputation for combining academic excellence with hands-on industry experience. The academy was the first in Romania to form a Transnational Education (TNE) partnership with a British university. Over the years, it has expanded its offering to include business management and marketing, attracting students from across Eastern Europe.
Sebastian Georgescu, CEO of American Hotel Academy, said:
“We are thrilled to announce our new Transnational Education franchise partnership with Arden University, a forward-thinking institution that shares our commitment to innovation and excellence in higher education. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for American Hotel Academy, as it opens new pathways for our students in Brașov to access globally recognized UK degrees while remaining rooted in their local community. Arden’s technology-enhanced learning and employer-shaped curriculum perfectly complement our mission to prepare future leaders in hospitality and business.
This partnership is more than an academic alliance. It’s a promise to our students that their ambitions can reach beyond borders. Together, we are expanding access to international education and empowering learners with the tools, credentials and confidence to thrive in a competitive global landscape.”
From Arden University’s side, the partnership is part of a wider mission to make higher education more accessible to learners across the world.
Stephen Waterworth, Chief International Officer at Arden University, said:
“We are thrilled to welcome American Hotel Academy (AHA) into the Arden University family. AHA’s reputation for excellence in hospitality education makes them an ideal partner. Together, we will empower students in Romania with the skills and qualifications needed to thrive in a competitive global market.”
Kavita Cassidy, Director for the Centre of Academic Partnerships, added:
“This partnership marks an exciting chapter in Arden’s international growth. We look forward to working closely with AHA over the next five years and beyond, ensuring that students in Romania benefit from the same high standards and innovative learning experiences that define Arden University.”
The first intake of students on Arden programmes at AHA is expected to begin soon. Prospective students in Romania can now look forward to gaining a UK degree through a local provider with strong industry links and a shared vision for future-ready education.
