Artificial intelligence is changing the way we study, work, and solve problems. From helping people analyse information to supporting everyday workplace tasks, AI is becoming part of more careers and industries.
That’s why Arden University is working with Google Cloud to bring practical AI skills and technology into the student experience.
Through this collaboration, Arden students will have access to Google Gemini Enterprise throughout their studies, alongside new AI-focused degree courses co-developed with Google Cloud.
For students, this means the opportunity to develop AI skills as part of their university experience, whatever their background or career goals.
You can download the full course prospectus for Arden courses co-designed with Google Cloud here.
What does working with Google Cloud mean for Arden students?
These new degree course will help you build the confidence and practical experience you need to use AI effectively in your studies and future career.
Google Gemini Enterprise will be available to Arden students as part of their learning experience, giving you an AI tool that can support you as you work through your course.
You might use it to help you understand a difficult concept, explore a topic from a different perspective, prepare for an assessment, or practise a workplace task.
The important thing is that AI is there to support your learning, rather than replace it. You remain responsible for questioning the information you receive, checking it against your course materials, and using your own judgement.
Learn with AI throughout your degree
One of the benefits of having access to Gemini Enterprise throughout your studies is that you can develop your AI skills alongside your subject knowledge.
Rather than learning about AI as a separate topic, you can explore how it can be applied to the areas you’re already studying.
For example, you could use AI to:
- Turn lecture materials into a revision quiz
- Explore a complex theory using different explanations
- Compare information from different sources before carrying out your own research
- Generate questions to help you prepare for an assessment
- Practise an interview based on a job description
- Explore patterns in a dataset or spreadsheet
- Work through a problem step by step
These are examples of how AI can support your learning, but the final decisions remain yours.
Build practical AI skills employers are looking for
AI skills are becoming increasingly relevant across the workplace, not just in jobs specifically called ‘AI roles’.
Whether you’re interested in cyber security, data science, business, marketing, or another area, understanding how to work effectively with AI can help you adapt as technology continues to develop.
Working with Google Cloud gives Arden students the opportunity to gain practical experience using AI as part of their studies.
This could help you become more comfortable with tasks such as analysing information, exploring ideas, solving problems, and preparing for workplace situations.
You can also start to develop your own approach to using AI responsibly. That includes knowing when to use it, how to question its output, and when your own expertise and judgement need to take the lead.
These are skills you can continue developing throughout your degree and take with you into your career.
AI support that fits around your life
At Arden, we understand that university students have different commitments and different ways of learning.
You might be returning to education after several years. You might be balancing your degree with work or family responsibilities. Or you might already be working in your chosen industry and want to develop new skills that can support your career.
Having AI tools available as part of your studies can give you another way to engage with your learning when you need additional support.
For example, you could use Gemini Enterprise to help you break down a complicated topic when studying independently, create study notes from your learning materials, or practise explaining an idea in your own words.
This can be particularly useful when you’re studying independently and want to keep your learning moving forward between sessions with your tutor.
AI doesn’t replace the support you receive from your tutors and fellow students. Instead, it can give you another tool to use alongside the wider support available at Arden.
What is Gemini Enterprise?
Gemini Enterprise is an agentic AI platform from Google Cloud that can support a range of tasks and workflows.
For Arden students, access to Gemini Enterprise provides an opportunity to gain practical experience with AI technology during their studies.
You can explore how AI can help you work with information, develop ideas, and approach problems, while also learning about the importance of checking outputs and making informed decisions.
As AI becomes more common in professional environments, having experience using these tools can help you feel more prepared to encounter them in the workplace.
Develop AI skills whatever you’re studying
AI isn’t limited to computer science or technology degrees.
The way organisations use AI is changing across industries, creating opportunities for people with different areas of expertise to combine their existing knowledge with new digital skills.
With this in mind, we’re introducing new AI-focused degrees across areas including cyber security, data science, and applied AI, alongside courses that explore the application of AI within business.
These new courses have been co-developed with Google Cloud, helping students explore technologies and skills that are relevant to the changing digital workplace.
Whether you want to build technical AI solutions or understand how AI can be applied within an organisation, there are opportunities to develop your knowledge in an area that fits your career ambitions.
Learn to use AI responsibly
AI can produce useful information, but it can also make mistakes. It’s therefore important to question its responses, check information against the original sources, and consider whether the output is appropriate for the task. Developing these skills is an important part of becoming AI-literate.
You’ll have opportunities to explore how AI can support your learning while developing the critical thinking, judgement, and professional awareness needed to use it responsibly.
Prepare for an AI-shaped workplace
The workplace you graduate into may look different from the one that exists today.
AI is already influencing how organisations approach tasks such as research, communication, data analysis, customer service, and software development. As these technologies continue to develop, employers will need people who can work alongside them effectively.
Through our work with Google Cloud and access to Gemini Enterprise, you’ll have the opportunity to develop practical experience using AI during your studies. You can apply what you learn to academic tasks, explore realistic workplace scenarios, and build confidence in using emerging technologies.
That experience can help you approach the changing workplace with greater confidence, while giving you the opportunity to think about how AI could support your own career.
Start building your AI skills at Arden University
AI is changing quickly, but you don’t need to be an AI expert to start developing your skills.
When you study with us you’ll have the opportunity to learn about AI, use AI tools as part of your studies, and develop the critical thinking needed to make the most of them.
Applications for the first new courses open in November 2026, with the first courses starting in February 2027.
