Arden University’s Chief Executive and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Carl Lygo, has been shortlisted for the EducationInvestor Power List 2025, recognising influential figures shaping the future of British higher education.
The annual Power List highlights individuals driving innovation, growth and positive change across the education sector. Professor Lygo’s inclusion reflects his long-standing commitment to widening access to higher education and his leadership in developing new, flexible models of university study.
Under his guidance, Arden University has continued to expand opportunities for learners from all backgrounds through technology-enabled learning and accessible degree pathways. His work has helped redefine what modern higher education can look like—career-focused, inclusive, and built around students’ real lives.
