A conversation with an Arden business student

Discover the perks of studying via Blended Learning with Arden University from a student who's living the experience.

Studying a blended learning degree with Arden gives you the best of both worlds: a chance to attend classes and receive face-to-face tuition combined with the flexibility of online learning.

We spoke to Michael Ajidagbe, a business student at our Ealing study centre, to find out what he enjoys about studying at Arden.

Question: Why did you choose to study with Arden University?

Answer: I saw the advert for Arden on YouTube and so I just thought, maybe I should give it a try as well. Also, the name of my house is ‘Arden House’, so I thought it would be funny just to give it a try and see what happens.

Q: That’s a nice coincidence! So, what made you choose your blended learning business course?

A: Because I work three days. So, I’ll be working in uni and in my job, and it’s much easier for me to do it that way. Also, I’ll be able to get some free time as well to do other things. It just lets me split my time accordingly.

Q: How are you finding the blended learning experience so far – doing some studying online and some in class?

A: I actually enjoy it so far, it’s good. I have a lot of time to do what I want to do.

Q: How does the mixture of classroom and online learning work with your life?

A: Good. When I come to uni and into class I get to meet new people, and when I’m online that means I can do other things while I study online. I just find it much easier as well, studying with technology.

Q: Why did you choose to study in Ealing?

A: I don’t know, I just wanted to go somewhere far enough! I didn’t want to go outside of London, but I wanted to go somewhere far enough from where I live, so I chose Ealing.

Q: What do you like about Ealing?

A: I like the study centre so far. I like the area – it's not too noisy. Also, there are great people as well – the staff and classmates.

Q: And what are your ambitions and hopes for the future?

A: Well, I’m looking to start my own business, which is why I’m studying my course - to get some knowledge and be able to use what I learn here to start my business.

Q: How do you hope your course will impact on your career?

A: It will help me start my own business, because currently I’m doing finance, which is what I’m not great at! But I’m getting used to it, and things I don’t know about I’m actually learning about and getting used to.

Q: Where do you hope you’ll be this time next year?

A: This time next year I hope to be a millionaire!
