Head of School
After completing a master’s degree in Tourism Management, Gillian worked for over twenty years as a senior marketing professional within several high-profile tourism, events, and cultural venues in the UK. This includes positions as Director of Marketing and Digital at the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Head of Marketing for Thinktank, Birmingham Science Museum, amongst others.
In 2016, she joined a major UK university as a senior lecturer in the digital marketing field. During this time, she gained management and teaching experience in higher education, including advising UK and international universities and lecturing on undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.
Gillian joined Arden University as Head of School of Digital Marketing and Sales in 2020, where she has been responsible for setting up the new school and establishing an innovative suite of digital marketing and sales programmes.
Gillian’s main objective at Arden University is to empower our ambitious students to grow faster and fulfil their academic and professional passions.
Outside work, she enjoys travel, watching live cultural events, and yoga.
Programme Team Leader and Senior Lecturer
Narinder is a highly experienced academic and industry specialist in the field of digital marketing. He has previously created and delivered several digital marketing programmes within higher education to learners from all over the world. Narinder specialises in the areas of customer and user experience design, website and app creation, social media management, and digital marketing and content planning.
Prior to his academic career, Narinder held senior marketing roles across several organisations, such as Marketing Manager at Energy Systems Catapult and Head of Marketing and Growth at US-based Kixar Technologies. He also has experience in founding and developing a range of digital start-up businesses.
Ayah Bani Mustafa
Ayah has worked as a marketing lecturer and module leader at the Arden Berlin campus since January 2021. Before commencing this role, she was a guest lecturer at Arden and fell in love with the university’s concept and environment.
Ayah discovered her passion for teaching when she was given the chance to teach at Jordan University back in 2013. That’s when she realised how fulfilling it was to see her students develop and decided to pursue a career as an academic.
Working for about eight years at different online service companies in Amman, London, and Berlin, Ayah has developed extensive marketing skills that she brings to the classroom to open students' eyes to the market and its best practices.
Ayah is also a certified e-commerce consultant, a SOSTAC associate, and holds a master's degree in International Marketing Strategies from Hasselt University- Belgium.
Since 2022, Ayah has been leading dissertations in our school as a dissertation module leader, where she supports students and trains academics to make the research journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible.
Lecturer - DL
Dana Alomari is a lecturer and module leader in the School of Digital Marketing and Sales. She has been working with Arden since February 2018, teaching and leading different modules on marketing and management and supervising students’ research projects on marketing and digital media topics.
Originally from Bahrain, Dana worked in media and marketing before moving to Germany in 2014 to pursue a master's degree in Media and Communication Management at Macromedia University of Applied Sciences, Berlin.
After completing her degree, Dana worked as a lecturer for media and communication theories at the same university before joining the Arden family. With a solid background in digital media and digital marketing, Dana is also a learning technology enthusiast and is interested in e-learning and learning design topics.
