Marcel has been self-employed for 17 years and has quite a diverse working background. In his early years, he learnt about nutrition and personal training and worked in this industry for six years. Afterwards, he worked in the financial sector for seven years, before becoming the CEO of an IT company (GmbH). He then invested in a tattoo care company, where he had been the CEO for some time before selling his shares and becoming a father.
What has been the best part about studying with Arden University so far?
Being able to refresh and expand my knowledge. I also get to work on my English skills. Another part of studying at Arden that has been good is the communication with the tutors.
Why did you choose Distance Learning, and has studying online been helpful for your lifestyle?
Simply to have a “plan b” if being self-employed would fail in the future - to have an academic grade was a necessity. It was also important to me to study in English, as our plans are to move abroad in the future.
Would you recommend Arden to friends and family?
Definitely, because you learn to research and solve problems on your own and have a tutor to ask questions to as a backup.
