Will there be an in-person graduation ceremony this year?
- Yes, there will be a big summer graduation, inviting anyone who has missed their in-person graduation due to the pandemic
Where and when will the Graduation take place?
- The graduation will take place in central London at Central Hall Westminster on 20th and 21st July 2022 – there will be two ceremonies per day and once registered you be allocated your exact ceremony
How do I register to attend the Graduation ceremony?
- You will be sent an email to register for the ceremony – we will stagger the invites, so please do not worry if you do not receive your email to register straight away – if you have not received an email 15th April 2022 and you believe you are eligible to attend, please contact graduation@arden.ac.uk
Am I eligible to attend this Summer’s Graduation Ceremony?
- We will be inviting students from class of 2020, class of 2021 and class of 2022.
Students from class of 2020 were contacted in Autumn of 2021 to see if they were interested in attending an in-person ceremony – anyone who responded to this survey, that did show interest will receive a registration email. If you do not respond to this survey, you will not be contacted. If at this point you do wish to attend our in-person ceremony, but did not respond to our initial survey, please email us asap on graduation@arden.ac.uk to see if we can accommodate your request.
All of class of 2021 will be invited, whether you attended our virtual ceremony or not.
Class of 2022 students who have had their awards confirmed at the Febraury 2022 Awards board or before, will be invited to attend. Any class of 2022 students who completes after February 2022, may be invited to attend, or may be deferred too a later ceremony depending on availability.
How do I know which ‘Class Of’ I belong too?
- Class of 2020 – students who were presented at an Awards Board between August 2019 and October 2020
Class of 2021 – students who were presented at an Awards Board between December 2020 and August 2021
Class of 2022 – students who were presented at an Awards Board between October 2021 and February 2022

When will I know the exact date and time of my graduation ceremony?
- Once registration has closed for all students in May 2022, we will notify all registered students of their exact date and time of their ceremony.
How long will registration be open for?
- Once you receive your registration email, your registration will remain open for 3 weeks. Please ensure that you register as soon as you can.
How do I complete my registration?
- By completing your registration form and submitting this, you are registering your attendance. If you do wish to purchase guest tickets, we will send you a link to pay for these within 2 weeks of registering, once you have paid for your guest tickets, your registration will be confirmed.
Do I have to pay to attend my graduation ceremony?
- As an Arden graduate, you’ll be provided with a complimentary ticket to attend your graduation ceremony. You will have to pay if you wish to bring guests and you will have to pay to hire your graduation gown and cap and any professional photography you may require.
Guest tickets – How much are they; how many am I allowed and how do I purchase them?
- Guest tickets are £20 per person. You can purchase a maximum of two guest tickets per graduate. Your guest ticket entitles your guest to attend your graduation ceremony and a complimentary drink at the sparkling reception which will follow the ceremony. We will send you the link for payment of guest tickets two weeks after registration, by email – please note your registration will not be complete until your payment has been processed for your guest tickets.
There may be an opportunity to purchase additional guest tickets nearer to the ceremony date. If you require more than two guest tickets, please send your requests to graduation@arden.ac.uk and once registration is closed in May 2022, you will be contacted shortly after, if more tickets are available.
Can I bring children to the graduation ceremony?
- Children can attend graduation; however, due to the length of the ceremony, we recommend that it may be unsuitable for children under 10 years of age. Children aged 2 and above will be required to have their own ticket. Any children must be seated with an appropriate adult, not the graduating student. There are no concessions for child tickets.
How do I hire my Academic Dress for the ceremony?
- You will be sent details on how to hire your graduation gown and cap, after registration closes in May 2022
How long does the ceremony last?
- Your graduation ceremony will last approximately 2 hours and will be followed by a sparkling reception to allow you to celebrate your success, with your family, friends, peers and Arden’s academics.
What if I can’t attend my graduation ceremony?
- If are unable to attend your allocated ceremony, please contact us on graduation@arden.ac.uk to see if we can make alternative arrangements
Will the graduation ceremony be live streamed?
- No, we will not be live streaming this year’s graduation ceremony
Can I purchase Arden University Graduation merchandise?
- Arden University clothing and merchandise can be purchase via this link- https://uk.campusclothing.com/Arden. There will also be merchandise on the day available to purchase.
Will I require a Visa to enter the UK to attend my Graduation?
- In most cases, your visa is likely to be valid for you to attend your graduation ceremony. However, if your visa expires before the date of your ceremony, you may have to return to your home country and come back to the UK on a visitor visa.
