4 tips to get a university place this October

If you haven’t got a university place yet, don’t worry. There are still plenty of opportunities you can grab to get where you want to be - and we have put together a list of four tips to help you.

1. Don’t panic!

There are still places available as new applications for UCAS Clearing are open until 23rd October.

If you want to study in London, Birmingham or Manchester, there are still places available on our flexible, blended learning courses.

Our campus-based blended learning degrees give you all of the great support and innovative learning access you get with our online courses, with the addition of regular, face-to-face tutorials. Blended study is ideal if you want the campus experience that comes with traditional teaching, but can’t fit in the full-time commitment.

2. Have a mini gap year

Well, not exactly a year but a couple of months – there’s no need to miss out on the university for a whole year if you haven’t secured a place. The next intake for Arden University is in February. No need to rush, we’ll be ready when you are.

3. Go to university without going to university

Let university come to you, with Distance Learning! Yes, you could study a degree from the comfort of your home – this also enables you to work full or part-time, gaining that all-important work experience and earning extra money throughout your studies. Of course, getting a degree this way is also a lot cheaper than going away. At Arden, we have several distance learning intakes each year.

4. Re-apply next year for uni courses

Not everybody gets into university the first time around! If you're one of them, take some time to improve your position (go travelling, volunteer, get a job...) and try applying again next year.

So, there you have it! A range of options to choose from if you haven’t taken up an offer yet this year. And if you are still sitting on the fence, why not read our 5 reasons why Blended Learning is right for you? It might just help you make the right decision about your future!
