Dr Sophie Ward, Arden University’s Deputy Head of the School of Psychology, has been shortlisted as a finalist at the 2023 She Inspires Awards.
The awards, now in their eighth year, are a celebration of women from all areas of life and from all parts of the UK and the world. With the theme of this year’s awards centred around Rising Stars and Changemakers, the event is packed with stories of unsung heroes, community champions and women who have gone above and beyond in the course of their work, service and passions, the awards endeavour to highlight and celebrate exceptional accomplishments from women locally and globally year on year.
Sophie, a Chartered Psychologist who has been working in Higher Education for over ten years, both in professional services and academia, has been nominated for the Women in Leadership Award 2023, reflecting her status as a leader, as well as her hard work and dedication to students.
Sophie is also an executive coach, qualified test user and mental health first aider, who continues to work with public sector organisations including schools and the NHS. Sophie is extremely passionate about mental health, well-being, inclusion, and the development of individuals and aims to promote each of these areas in all aspects of her work.
This year’s She Inspires Awards will take place in November, with the winners announced at a ceremony in Bolton.
