Arden to offer prizes to ‘Stand out’ Students

In recognition of Arden University’s students’ ongoing commitment to their studies, during the April and June study blocks (on the current calendar) and May-July study block (new Study Centre Calendar), Lecturers across all our study Centres in the UK and Berlin will be asked to nominate a “Stand Out Student” at the end of each block.

Lecturers will be looking to nominate individuals who have excellent attendance for their face to face teaching sessions in their Study Centre, have demonstrated fantastic engagement in those sessions, showing dedication to their studies and support for their fellow students.

These nominations will then be used to determine one winning Stand Out Student for each centre, and the successful students will be rewarded with a £25 Amazon.co.uk Gift Voucher from Arden University Students’ Association.

Professor Helen Scott (Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic)) said: “I am delighted to support these awards which recognise our students’ hard work and participation in their studies-not just for their own benefit but for others too. One of the things students and Lecturers have missed during recent times is that face to face interaction with each other-which is so important to learning and making progress at university. I want to really encourage all our full time Blended Learning students to make the most of all the opportunities and support there for you, in the Study Centres, as well as in the online learning environment.

"The “Stand Out Student” prizes are one small way in which we can recognise students who are fantastic role models to others, demonstrate the Arden Values, and to encourage all students to fully engage with their studies”
