As a senior software consultant working in embedded software development for over 18 years, Vivek has a long history in developing, as well as managing software projects. He studied his MBA specialising in project management to focus on Agile Methodology and its shortcomings.
What has been the best part about studying with Arden University?
The flexibility of Distance Learning is what first made me interested in studying with Arden. I could study based on my own schedule, instead of having to be in class or online at a particular time each week. I actually finished all the eight modules in two years, by completing four modules a year, one in every three months.
I had to take a break for about a year and half for personal reasons, then I picked back up and finished my dissertation. I wouldn’t have been able to take a break and then continue my studies in a traditional course.
Why did you choose to study with Arden?
I started at RDI and transferred to Arden because it is a very professional university and they have excellent learning resources. Also, the student support has been very reliable throughout the course. The course and study materials were very high quality, so the experience has definitely been worth it.
Why did you choose Distance Learning, and has studying online been helpful for your lifestyle?
Flexibility was at the top of my priority list when I was looking for an MBA programme. With Arden’s online learning I could make my own study schedule and didn’t have to visit a campus for classes. The lectures were all online and I could access them from the comfort of my home.
What do you think of the course so far?
I am very pleased with the course and overall I think the learning materials are high quality. The online lectures were presented in real time and were also recorded, so whenever you want you can go back and rewatch the recording.
What are your goals for after graduating from Arden?
After graduation I want to enhance my career and use the knowledge I learned on the course in the workplace. I want to take the next big step in my career and maybe get a more senior position.
