Arden University’s Students, guests, and Academic staff gathered in London this week to celebrate this year’s Summer Graduation Ceremony.
More than 300 graduates were in attendance at our two in-person graduation ceremonies across Tuesday 27th June, receiving recognition for their incredible achievements.
Accompanied by their families, friends, and loved ones, undergraduates and postgraduates were able to collect their degree certificates at ceremonies in the prestigious Methodist Central Hall in Westminster, London.
The ceremonies were introduced by Arden’s Provost, Professor Lucy Lu before graduates heard speeches from Professor Ann Tate C.B.E, Chair of Board of Directors, Dace Rozina, Student President, Professor Victoria O’Donnell, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Academic and Deputy Provost or Debra Hinds – Associate Pro-Vice Chancellor, Partnerships.
‘It is a great honour to be able to welcome students and their supporters to celebrate their success,’ said Carl Lygo, Arden University's Vice Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer.
‘Graduation day is the culmination of many hours, days, and years of hard work and determination and it takes a very special kind of person to overcome all the challenges and obstacles that accompany studying at the highest level.'
‘I extend my congratulations to every student present in the hall on a day which demonstrates they have proved themselves worthy of the highest awards available in UK education.’
Arden University also celebrated two honorary graduates at the ceremonies. Professor Sir Tim Wilson and Anju Solanki were both awarded honorary doctorates on the day, recognising their outstanding achievements in their respective fields.
Congratulations to all our graduates, we hope you enjoyed the day.
