On Monday 23rd May, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Dilshad Sheikh hosted an online event for the CMI.
The event, titled ‘The Great Resignation or The Great Rethink?’ also featured guest-speaker Chris Roebuck CMgr CCMI FCIPD whose experience includes serving as Global Head of Leadership at UBS, leading the cultural transformation of the London Underground PPP, and serving as a visiting professor at Bayes Business School.
Attended by a large number of CMI members from around the globe, points of discussion included a range of factors affecting today’s employment market: including record high job vacancies, the cultural perspectives of post-pandemic workforce, and how attracting and retaining the necessary skills and talent remains an ongoing challenge for many businesses.
Notably, Dilshad, who also serves as the CMI's chair for Chair, West Midlands & North West Regional Board, was also in attendance at the CMI Women in Leadership Conference over the weekend, where the Countess of Wessex was also present.
