Dr Dinusha Weerawardane
Dr Weerawardane is the Head of Department for Accounting and Finance at Arden University. She is a Fellow member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), and holds a PhD in Consumer Behaviour, an MSc. International Business Management, a BSc. (Hons) Applied Accounting, and an LLB (Hons) Business Law. Moreover, she is a Chartered Manager (CMI), a Principal Fellow of Advance HE and was awarded a National Teaching Fellowship from Advance HE in 2022 for her work in promoting inclusiveness in higher education and empowering females into the finance profession.
Professor Brian Smith
The Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology is currently overseen by Professor Brian Smith, Deputy Provost. Bringing more than three decades of experience, Brian has been awarded the prestigious Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellow for excellence in developing inspiring and innovative new learning and teaching models in global higher education. This work was core to his PhD to understand learner behaviour and ontological needs in the classroom, blended and online learning.
Towella Ngambi
Towella Ngambi heads up our foundation year courses as the programme team leader. With a wealth of expertise and knowledge in helping individuals from all backgrounds accelerate their personal growth, Towella and her team provide all the support you need to gain a solid grounding in the skills you need to succeed ay university. Towella brings a great deal of experience to our foundation year courses, with a teaching background that covers everything from online tutoring and counselling to motivational coaching and academic assessment.

Mina Katti
Mina Katti joined Arden University in 2021 as a Programme Team Leader before being promoted to the position of Principal Lecturer in 2022 and then Deputy Head of School in April 2023. She has undertaken several duties external to her role such as External Examiner at the Open University and the University of Bedfordshire, and validation panel membership for various programmes.

Joanne Newton has worked in higher education and degree apprenticeships, where she has developed and delivered various programmes across levels 4 -7, ensuring they align to current industry requirements and encompass the composite skills and accreditations required by professionals today.
Dr. Mohammed Rehman

Hello, I’m Dr. Mohammed Rehman, Head of the School of STEM at Arden University. My career began in media, graphic design, and desktop publishing before transitioning to IT administration and support in the publishing and education sectors. I later moved into education, first as an academic in multimedia, then in computing and business, before progressing to leadership roles in computing.

Saabirah Osman
Saabirah Osman is a Programme Lead within the School of Criminal Justice. She obtained her BA and MA degrees at Birmingham City University and is currently completing her PhD at Liverpool John Moores University. Her PhD seeks to explore and examine the services provided to UK migrants who are survivors of Sexual Violence. Through this research she hopes to widen accessibility and availability of appropriate support to this population.
