Course Overview

The MSc Digital Leadership and AI Innovation prepares you to lead organisations through the opportunities and challenges of AI, digital transformation and emerging technologies. You will develop the strategic thinking and leadership skills needed to use new technologies effectively and create business value.

Arden University and Google Cloud

Co-developed with Google Cloud, this master's programme combines Google's technical expertise with Arden's academic experience. You will develop strategic knowledge alongside advanced AI skills, learning how to use AI to support decision-making, improve performance and lead in a changing digital environment.

Through Arden's collaboration with Google Cloud, you will have access to Google Gemini Enterprise throughout your studies. Gemini Enterprise can help you work with complex topics by creating summaries, revision notes, audio overviews and visual explanations to support your learning.

You will also work on AI simulations and leadership projects co-developed with Google Cloud. These practical scenarios allow you to lead simulated digital transformations, manage technology risks and develop AI-driven innovation strategies.

You will have the chance to:

  • Develop strategic AI leadership skills, covering digital transformation, organisational strategy and change management.
  • Learn through Google Cloud co-development, connecting academic theory with current technology industry practice.
  • Work with agentic AI simulations, exploring emerging technologies and applying strategy in realistic business environments.

Course details and modules

AI is changing how organisations work and creating new opportunities for people with digital and AI skills. This course helps you develop the knowledge and leadership skills to use AI effectively and support digital transformation.

You will develop your strategic problem-solving skills through your studies, culminating in a business consultancy dissertation or transformation project.

You will also gain practical experience through projects co-developed with Google Cloud. This will help you apply what you learn to real business challenges and build evidence of your ability to support AI-driven innovation.

By the end of the course, you will have developed skills that can support your career in leadership, AI and digital transformation.

How do we assess you?

Assessments for the MSc Digital Leadership and AI Innovation course are designed to help you apply your learning to the complex digital and leadership challenges faced by businesses today.

Practical assignments throughout the programme such as consultancy reports, digital transformation strategies, AI innovation proposals, case studies and presentations, will enable you to put your learning into practice.

You’ll also be able to apply your learning to your own professional context, allowing you to explore genuine workplace challenges and develop solutions that demonstrate your ability to lead technology-enabled change.

Study options

This course is available to study full-time through our blended learning study mode in London Stratford and Manchester.

The course is also available to students via online learning. This gives you the convenience of being able to study from anywhere in the UK or worldwide, providing you with the same high standards of teaching but with lower tuition fees.

Full-time blended learning

How does it work?

Our blended learning study mode combines structured in-person learning with the flexibility of guided independent study. You’ll attend eight hours of timetabled, face-to-face classes each week, spread over two days at your chosen Arden University campus.
Alongside this, you’ll spend approximately 25 hours each week on independent study. You’ll use iLearn, our digital learning platform, to access key resources, submit assignments, and stay connected with your tutors and classmates. Whether you prefer studying in our on-campus learning spaces or at home, you’ll be supported throughout your journey.

Blended learning is ideal if you value regular in-person teaching and want the flexibility to balance your studies with other commitments. With classes concentrated over just two days, you’ll have more control over your time, while still benefiting from face-to-face interaction and access to university facilities.

Part-time online learning

How does it work?

Studying your degree online with Arden means you can earn your anywhere in the world without the requirement to attend classes in a physical location. Our online students study their degree through iLearn, Arden’s university campus in the cloud.

Online learning students resident in the UK can apply for a Maintenance Loan if they cannot attend their course in person because of a disability. Entry requirements

At Arden University we consider applications on a case by case basis. If you have significant work experience, have qualifications you have gained elsewhere, or a degree or qualification that isn't a clear pathway to this degree - we are more than happy to discuss your application.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this MSc in MSc Digital Leadership and AI Innovation, we need to see that you have: 

  • A UK Honours Degree at a minimum of second class (2.2) or equivalent.

English Proficiency

Online Learning: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 90; or equivalent

Blended Learning in the UK or full-time study in Berlin: IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element); or TOEFL iBT 60-78; or equivalent. Free English language support is also available at the Arden Berlin campus.

Alternatively, evidence you have previously studied in English; a letter to show that the Medium of Instruction was in English can be accepted

We are happy to consider an application from you if you can show us you have the motivation to study this engineering management course. 

We’ll ask you for a personal statement that demonstrates your ability to study the course. We may also want references and evidence of relevant experience.

You must meet the academic entry requirements for this course.

You’ll need an IELTS score of 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any element) or an equivalent Secure English Language Test (SELT) result.

Meet the faculty

Dr. Hassaan Khan

Hassaan Khan brings 15 years of experience as a senior academic in higher education. Hassaan studied accounting and finance at the University of Kent, followed by an MSc and PhD in Finance from Durham University. Prior to joining Arden, he was associate dean at the Global Banking School, looking after the finance and business management degrees. Hassaan was director of programmes at BPP University where he was responsible for degrees in finance and applied management as well as professional courses and degree apprenticeships in accountancy.
