Teaching is a profession that I truly enjoy, and I have found the right fit at Arden. I enjoy working with graphic design staff and students and appreciate the professional autonomy, versatile projects, and opportunities for professional fulfilment. Arden's graphic design BA and MA programmes excel in integrating various professional areas into a multidisciplinary, industry-relevant curriculum, and it is precisely that multidisciplinary aspect that I enjoy the most.

Arden University offers scope for creative innovation, growth, and flexibility of delivery, making it an exciting place to work. I am passionate about the subject of art and design, and enjoy the dialogue with students about their creative ideas. The exchanges between staff and students in live (zoom) group discussions where all contribute with their views and constructive feedback on work in-progress, are the most rewarding – a great learning experience for all involved, staff included. Outside Arden, I continue my work as an artist. Making art is not a hobby, it is a way of life.

Arden is an innovative and exciting place to work. It is fast-paced, dynamic, and no two days are the same. It is definitely a people place, with a great team spirit where everyone supports each other to achieve their goals. The student voice is always at the forefront of everything Arden does and is the driver around all new developments currently occurring.

I have been at Arden University since 2019. It may sound like a cliche, but people are Arden's biggest strength and there is a real sense of community amongst colleagues. As someone who has worked for a number of universities, I think I would highlight that students at Arden are very much seen as individuals with a range of life experiences and we are very much committed to providing opportunities for learning and self-development that create employable graduates.

The most rewarding areas of my field are found in the refinement of clearly emotive ideas to the best output possible, and in turn, their reception in equal measures. All the outcomes are part of the learning process that in turn can be focused on relevant future projects.
