Learning Success Hub

Our team of Academic Skills Tutors at the Manchester campus are here to help you develop key academic skills for success:

  • On-campus academic support is available every day.
  • Embedded academic sessions in Foundation Year, Level 4, and most Level 5 & 6 modules.
  • Face-to-face and online workshops and 1:1 sessions.
  • Dissertation support (pilot programme) – a six-part online series covering all aspects of dissertation writing.
  • “On Track” drop-ins at key points in the academic year.
  • Collaboration with Peer Mentors to offer additional support when and where you need it.

If English is not your first language, you’ll also benefit from Academic English courses delivered by a dedicated English Language Hub (ELH) lecturer – ideal for international students.

Wellbeing Services

We care about your wellbeing just as much as your academic success. Arden Wellbeing Services offer confidential support to help you manage your mental health, wellbeing, or disability needs throughout your studies.

Services include:

  • 1:1 appointments with a dedicated adviser for practical advice and tailored support.
  • Guidance with accessing reasonable adjustments and disability support (e.g., for dyslexia or other learning differences).
  • 24/7 mental health support via Spectrum Life – a free service offering multilingual counselling, wellbeing videos, fitness tips, and more.
