Reliable online learning platform

Online learning has exploded in popularity as internet accessibility and flexible study options have become more and more in demand. In 2020, the switch to online learning became critical for institutions to continue teaching their students during the Covid-19 pandemic.

As a forerunner in online education, Arden was able to transfer students to a fully online mode quickly and effectively. The ilearn study platform, which hosts the materials for Arden’s online and blended learning courses, had already been in regular use by students who studied from around the world.

For courses typically taught through in-class learning, materials and instruction were transferred online, where students could continue their regular lessons. Our existing online learning infrastructure made it easier for students to make a swift transition and keep up with their learning, while other institutions had to spend many months catching up.

A focus on employability

There are many reasons you might decide to start a course, but Arden recognises that one of the main drivers for our students to study is career advancement. As such, we want to be sure that students get what they need from their courses to reach their goals after completing their course.

Our courses are created to reflect this focus on employability, from your lecturer’s professional experience to the information found in your modules. Hands-on learning opportunities and case studies from the real world are just a few ways our courses inject vital career-based learning into your time with us.

To further enhance your CV and preparation for the workforce, many of our courses are accredited by major professional bodies such as The British Psychological Society, the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and the Chartered Management Institute.

Arden also has a Careers Portal located within the ilearn platform which provides tools such as an interview simulator, job search engine, and a CV builder. Students can access these resources any time during their studies to get additional career-based support and guidance.

We’re invested in the student experience

Many current and former students remark on how much enthusiasm our Student Support Team and lecturers bring to the learning experience. These support teams and faculty members are available to answer your questions and assist you throughout all phases of your course.

The Student Support Team is split into smaller, specialised groups to provide you with specific assistance based upon your study mode and course. If you need help with using your online platform, meeting course requirements, or are experiencing personal issues that interfere with your studies, the Student Support Team is who you’ll want to contact.

We also recently appointed a team of Academic Skills Advisors who will help you develop your skills in academic writing, research, referencing, and reporting, among other key skills.

For peer guidance and additional assistance through personal issues, Arden students have access to the free online platform, Togetherall. This peer-to-peer platform creates a safe community where Arden students can anonymously post and connect beyond classroom forums. The platform is monitored by trained professionals and provides additional resources for you to manage or seek help for any mental health issues you may be experiencing.
