Regrettably our graduation venue has cancelled all events taking place between November 2020 – January 2021 due to uncertainty around the ongoing pandemic. We are currently reviewing other options including the potential for online ceremonies. Further updates and information will be provided here in due course.

Visa Information

Visa information for non-EU students

Congratulations! All your self-motivation, dedication and hard work has paid off - you’re about to graduate!

We hope you’ll be able to join us on graduation day. As a non-EU student, please check if you or your guests require a visa here:

Tier 4

If you currently hold a valid Tier 4 student visa and remain in the UK until the date of the graduation ceremony, then you are fine to attend. If your Tier 4 visa is set to expire, don’t worry - you can return home before your Tier 4 visa expires and apply for a Standard Visitor visa to attend your ceremony.

Standard Visitor Visa

The link below provides you and your guests with useful information about applying for a Standard Visitor visa. All the information provided will help you submit a valid application.
You can apply for the Standard Visitor visa online at:

Supporting letter issued by the Arden University Awards and Graduation team

Arden University produce a covering letter which accompanies your Certificate and Transcript. This letter confirms that you are eligible to attend your graduation ceremony. You will need to include this document when applying for your visa.

Once you have registered your attendance and hired your gown with Ede and Ravenscroft, please use this as confirmation of attendance.

An invitation letter written by you and sent to your guest

Your guest will have to include an invitation letter with their visa application. Arden University cannot issue an invitation letter because the UKVI require you, as the student, to provide the letter.

To make it easier for you to prepare this letter, we have created a sample letter of invitation which you can use to write your letter - see below.

All guests must comply with the UK’s immigration rules and leave the UK before their visa expires.
