Studying in Birmingham with Arden

Located on the 2nd floor of the Centre City building, Arden's Birmingham study centre has a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and our trademark Arden blue everywhere you look.

Our spacious classrooms provide the perfect study environment for independent learners – bring your laptop or tablet along to class, and you can spend your face-to-face tutorial time asking questions about any course material you’ve been uncertain of when studying from home.

There’s a large breakout area to spend your time between classes, with vending machines and facilities to prepare your own food, as well as a study room equipped with PCs, perfect for getting your head down and your work done.

Our Birmingham study centre walls are scattered with motivational quotes to inspire you to do your very best. If you ever encounter any issues while studying, personal or otherwise, our friendly Student Support team welcome you to talk things through with them, and always do their very best to offer a helping hand.

The Surrounding Area

After an extensive renovation several years ago, Birmingham New Street station was transformed into Grand Central, a modern complex with shops, restaurants and more - and it’s just a two-minute walk from the Arden study centre!

The Bullring, one of the busiest shopping centres in the world, is also a short walk from our study centre. Here, you can find restaurants and outlets to grab a quick bite to eat, department stores, and a huge variety of High Street names.

If you prefer a little less hustle and bustle, try taking a 10-minute walk to the opposite side of the Bullring and have a stroll along one of Birmingham’s many canals. Surprisingly, Birmingham has more miles of canal than Venice!

Transport to Arden Birmingham

As mentioned, Birmingham New Street station is just a two-minute walk from our Arden study centre. This provides easy access to destinations not only in the local area, but all around the country. Here are just a few:

  • Wolverhampton: 20 mins
  • Coventry: 23 mins
  • Leicester: 55 mins
  • London: 1.5 hours
  • Bristol: 1.5 hours

As the UK’s second largest city, Birmingham has great public transport links besides National Rail; the West Midlands Metro reaches from Snow Hill to Wolverhampton, and buses operate day and night all around the city.
